This anchorage is not suitable for larger yachts as the reef entrance is narrow and the channel is reported to be very shallow in places - check with local authorities whether it is suitable for your yacht. Once inside, there are three anchorage options (depending on your draft) - they are small so you will need a stern anchor to keep you from swinging into trouble. If anchoring in the harbour, go to the south side clear of the quay. The alternative is to anchor outside the reef south of the channel, the bottom drops off steeply from the reef so take care here too.
