There is plenty of room on sandy bottom on the northeast side of Lelepa Island. This spot can get quite windy but the holding is good and we found it perfectly comfortable with a stern anchor out even with 25-30kt blowing over us. There is a nice sandy beach here for relaxing and swimming and a well maintained path that takes you to the other side of the island in 5 minutes to another sandy beach and nice snorkelling at the southern end of the bay. Tour operators use this so there are tables and hammocks set up and even a post box. Follow the path from the north end of the beach to the point where you will find the wreckage of a WWII plane crash.
