Lenakel is an official port of entry for Vanuatu but is quite exposed and can be a very rolly anchorage. We recommend checking with customs whether you can arrange to have officials come over to Port Resolution on the east side of the island instead as that is a much more comfortable anchorage. As at June 2019 many boats were arriving in Port Resolution and checking in there no problem - though it may take many days for officials to actually come out. Lenakel has quite a few shops and a very good market Monday - Friday. If you like your coffee then Tanna Coffee sold in some of the shops here is well worth treating yourself to.
