[status] It is 11 am on Sunday and we are 125 nm from Aneityum, Vanuatu. The forecasted winds of 8-12 knots for last night turned out to be 15-20 kts which allowed us to sail at 8-9 knots and make up ground previously lost to light wind and downwind sailing. There is a low pressure trough between us and our destination which will cause variable wind of undetermined strength and rain showers. However, we expect landfall on Monday. Blue Rodeo is doing a good job of keeping up with us :-), but the fish apparently cannot catch a lure moving at this speed.
[weather] 15 kts NE, 1 meter swell, partly cloudy skies, Pressure 1018
