Moderate holding in sandy bottom, best anchoring in 5-10 metres at the
head of the bay in the northeast of this cove. There is also an
anchorage in the southeastern part of the cove. Sheltered from all but
southwest quadrant wind and northwest and westerly swells can make it
a little rolly. The wreck of HMNZS Canterbury is at the northwestern
entrance to this cove.
There is nothing more enticing, disenchanting, and enslaving than the life at sea.
