[status] Vanua Levu in sight. Fish on the line, so a bit occupied here. Several squalls overnight. Occasional showers. Motoring. About 35NM to Savusavu Harbour. The sea looks mercurial this morning with the grey skies and lack of wind. A very determined booby tried to make our boat his roost last night. It was not easy to dissuade him. One mahimahi in the freezer from the passage. We were sorry that Tonga is no longer granting cruising boats extensions beyond a four month stay as we still had islands to explore, but we are looking forward to Fiji and meeting up with some cruising friends again. Won't be long before we are looking for a weather window to New Zealand.
