[status] Yesterday The Southern Cross was tied up to a concrete jetty within the Jurien Bay harbour. It was a 40 minute walk to the IGA and town along the foreshore. Went for a walk along a beautiful beach this morning, which is just north of the marina. Visited the very friendly Volunteer Marine Rescue service and was given information about the southern passage, which will be helpful when we depart for Perth in a few days. Currently at anchor off Boullanger Island, just off Jurien, which is providing us with good protection from strong southerlies. Hope to leave Sunday for Fremantle, near Perth.
