Anchor on the sheltered western side of the island near the wharf. This is
an excellent all weather anchorage with a safe wide northern entrance.
From here you can dinghy ashore and follow the road past the crop fields
to the eastern side of the island where the village is. Chat to the
friendly locals and if you're around on a Sunday go along to a church
service and hear the amazing singing. We went along to the afternoon
session of the Free Church of Tonga on the last Saturday of the month when
there is a strong emphasis on singing and which was out of this world.
Groups even moved about the church for different songs to match their
voices.
I can't change the direction of the wind, but I can adjust my sails to always reach my destination.
