[status] Finally left Albany after a good week of town time while the remnants of TC Marcus disappeared off the weather map. Was also great to catch up with Katy, Brad and family. Even managed to bribe Kai to go to the local high school for 3 days with Josh. Didn't get too far west though as we thought we would check out an anchorage known as either Mutton Bird Island or Shelter Island....one of the few along this coast with true 360 degree protection....although wouldnt want to get in or out in a 5m swell! Tight entry but nice settled anchorage with a close view of the rollers smashing on the rocks 200m to the east. Pretty spot so we may stop for a few days and wait for the eater crowds to leave Hammelin Bay before we set off again.
