"Amanda-Trabanthea" – our sweet home and vessel which is taking us around the world – is a fiberglass monohull with a sloop rig. Just as her owner, she was made in Norway in the 80's. Before encountering a wider horizon, she had been sailing all her life along the skerry coastline of Norway in the summer time. In 2012, the Norwegian-German duo Linn Charlotte Klund & Paul Lübbe started to prepare the 34' for her great adventure, and September 2013 was the kick-off for the circumnavigation. After making our way down Europe we sat sail for the Caribbean. Now, years and several upgrades later, we are still sailing her in tropical waters – on the opposite side of the Equator, however. We have made our way through the Panama Canal as well as the majority of the Pacific islands and ended up in Vanuatu for some months, waiting for the cyclone season to pass. Currently we are volunteering in a school in Port Resolution in the spectacular volcano island of Tanna. In June we are going to set sail for a quite surprising location...
