[anchorage] Anchored at Matagi Island, Fiji.
[status] It?s time to start heading south, so we left the lovely Albert Cove, and headed around the north of Rabi Island, through Texas Reef, and down through the Rabi Channel towards the Somosomo strait. We were going to anchor in Somosomo for the night, but the wind was right on the nose and building so we headed for Matagi instead. We?ll hopefully head around to Somosomo early tomorrow before the winds kick in on the nose again. We?ve just had a quiet dinner in the cockpit listening to some weird unidentifiable sound that sounds a bit like a short cricket chirp, and is coming from all around us, sometimes appearing to be quite close by. We cannot see any bats or insects flying around, so it?s a real mystery!
