[status] report at 1000 local time Sunday. Departed Strahan yesterday morning after buying the weekend newspaper and bananas. Passed through Hells Gates and out of Macquarie Harbour before noon. Sailed overnight under a waxing gibbous moon, until it set at 0200, and then a galaxy of stars. A comfortable dry decks passage to Ann Bay, just south of Cape Grim. We?ll wait here for a few hours, or perhaps overnight, and then head around Tasmania?s north western cape.
