[status] A very good first day. Had to Motor a bit early to get away from the coast before we got good wind. Since this afternoon it?s been really good about 17 knots SW and roaring along at 8s and 9s. Working south of east as good wind angle and contingency for it turning more SE later. Latest models are encouraging for the rest of the trip.
Sea conditions are better than expected with the anticipated easterly swell not causing too much roughness.
