After 5 and a bit days, we're now well underway, having covered just over 600nm of the total trip of around 2,800. The frustrating (aka slow!) progress of the previous couple of days has given way to much better progress in the last 30hrs, with fairly consistent winds in the 18-25kn range (occasionally gusting higher). After a beautiful sail for most of yesterday in fairly flatish seas, we've now gone back to our more conservative sailplan of a triple-reefed Mainsail and a bit less than half the Genoa, and sailing at about 140d apparent (on a bit more of a S heading than ideal, but this is more comfortable given the slightly higher winds and beam seas). Fortunately the latter aren't too bad and all is good on board!!
