Left Cairns yesterday and did an overnight passage - excellent downwind sailing with 15-25 knots of wind and mostly gentle seas behind the reef, as well as a favorable current. 143 miles in 23 hours = 6.2 knots average boat speed - that's a very fast "average speed" for Slip Away!
