[s] Anchored in a mangrove bay near the shop (there is just one and itâs fairly basic, though Tui the owner kindly gave us some veg from his own garden). Have just returned from sevusevu at Kavala where we were warmly welcomed and the kava was pounded there and then. The ebbing tide threatened to leave the dinghy high and dry on the shallows in front of the village so we had to make an early exit after four rounds of the bilo or else, we suspect, weâd have been there all night! Shame about the dismal weather as the bay looks stunning and we canât see anything but the lower slopes of the hills surrounding us. No internet access here.[END]
The sea, once it casts its spell, holds one in its net of wonder forever.
