JOANA
FollowJoana is a homebuilt, Roberts 53, raised cabin, monohull steel yacht with a cutter rig. Her keel was laid in Ottawa, Canada in 1992 and was completed in 2002. She went to the Caribbean in 2009 when the builder and his wife retired. She crossed the Panama Canal in February 2015 and is on her way to NZ. Her owners (Wade Alarie) and wife (Diane Alarie) have the intention of doing a circumnavigation, but slowly. Our intentions are to move to NZ in November 2015, then Australia in 2017 and onward to Malaysia etc in 2018. www.joana.ca is our boat blog
