[status] Our friends from Australia (Gudrun & Oscar) joined us at Sitka a few days ago. After painting the town red we pulled out at dawn yesterday for Appleton Cove via the notorious Sergius Channel. Upon arriving here yesterday we were greeted by two large pods of whales feeding. It was one of those scenes where the whales cirles blowing bubbles then all come together at the same time and rise to the surface with mouths agape; very impressive stuff.
[weather] Clear skies, no wind or swell.
