[status] Reaching in moderate winds and small seas continues. The wind has been varying between about 10 to 15 knots which makes for really comfortable reaching at TWA of about 100. We had unfavorable current for a while today but seems good again now as expected looking at the BOM temp and current chart screenshot. We should have really good current for at least the next day or so.
The forecast shows these winds just about hanging around until tomorrow evening when it looks like we will need to motor for a while. Trying to make a little bit Northing do we can sail a bit tighter wind angles later as the wind fades and comes more out of the east.
We had a strong hit on our one hand line but unfortunately the line broke and we?ve lost the lure, one of our favorite rapaelas. We?ve also had the ?Bite Me? lure out which Lyn made during a lure making clinic with our friends Will and Margaux from Kittiwake. This afternoon it had a big hit, but not hooked.
