[status] Last night was a mixed bag. Most of the night was excellent sailing in about 18 knots, with strength up and down a lot on the clouds, not rain squalls fortunately. At about 2 in the morning (Fiji time now) the wind headed and died a lot. We decided to motor-sail for a while and give batteries a bit of a charge. A loud squealing sound as the motor started runnng was a huge concern, but it seems to have gone away now.
Staysail came down. After about 2 hours the wind was better angle and strength and we are now sailing quite fast with full working sails in 10 to 15 knots.
Forecast looks like we will be sailing like this for the next few days, so barring any problems we might make some good miles.
