[status] The glacier at the end of Tarr Inlet was active, and we got to see huge slabs of ice break off. The sounds were as powerful as the sights: ice cracking sounded like rifle shots, and chunks hitting the water sounded like cannon booms (and created waves that rocked the boat). How dramatic, to witness the earth changing right before our eyes! Now we're anchored at the end of narrow Tidal Inlet (which we dubbed Waterfall Alley), watching a bear graze near the shore.
