[w] NE 3-4kt, 1018 bar, almost no cloud, 1mt slow swell.
[s] Gentler winds and strong counter current have led to more motor sailing, more diesel consumption and a slower planned passage.
That said, conditions otherwise have been great â calm seas, warm sunny days, lovely moonlit nights and a decent sized mahi mahi (one thing the Aussie Biosecurity wonât confiscate!)
Timing for landfall in Bundaberg is now round about lunchtime tomorrow and we have only 159 miles to go. Eating well (calm seas means no mal de mer)......all the luxuries such as smoked salmon, French cheeses and smoked meats that we wonât be allowed to keep. All is very well on board![END]
To reach a port we must set sail. Sail, not tie at anchor. Sail, not drift.
