[status] Anchored off Stocking Island in Elizabeth Harbor (Georgetown) in the Exumas (Bahamas). We arrived here from Mayaguana Island late yesterday afternoon after an overnight trip, which was a mix of sailing and motoring. This is a big harbor with lots of boats anchored in it, but we were able to find the location of our friends Heather & Jon on s.v. Evergreen by their AIS signal. We dropped our hook next to Evergreen, and shortly thereafter Heather & Jon dinghied over with champagne. This was our first human contact in over a month, and we hadn't seen each other in 3 years, so we had lots to catch up on! It was a great evening, and we're very happy to be here. We expect to spend the next couple of days doing some chores - laundry, provisioning, fuel, etc. After that, we'll get out and explore these beautiful islands.
