[status] Day 15 underway to the Caribbean/Bahamas. After reviewing yesterday's weather forecast, we decided our best option was to get north of the equator as quickly as possible, and here we are! We crossed into the northern hemisphere at 0640 UTC today. The last 24 hours have been pretty rough - lots of squalls with lots of rain and very little wind, which is constantly changing direction. Worst of all, the seas are really lumpy. How can the seas be so rough when there is so little wind?! We are still motoring. We hope to find the tradewinds soon, and really hope that the seas settle down and become more comfortable! (That would make the crew less grumpy!) 2973 miles to the Bahamas, so we're under 3000 miles to go now!
