[status] Report at 1800 local time Thursday. Anchored in Baie St Marie, near Noumea. Unexpectedly we were able to sail about half the way back from Mathieu Island to Noumea (total distance 30nm) and motor sailed the rest of the way. Glorious conditions, flat water, blue skies, sailing at wind speed. Arrived in anchorage mid afternoon and have been ashore to buy bananas and petrol.
