[weather] sunny all day, small puffy cumulus, light cirrus, scattered small squalls. No wind. Zero.
[speed] 1.5 kts, Equatorial Counter Current

[status] 20181206 0600 UTC, Day 17. 2 PonB, Douglas & Morgan, all is well. Outbound Fiji. Inbound Marshall Islands. -20 nm VMG. We are drifting eastward, further away from our destination than yesterday. This 1.5 kt eastward current is bugging us. We're not quite sure what it is. The Equatorial Counter Current is supposed to be much more north, 3-10 N. In previous posts for this passage, if I reported "no wind" I was misleading. Now we know no wind [END]
Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails.
