[status]Hopefully we will be able to hear you on the radio today. Our wind instruments are not going so the wind is a guesstimate. We had wind 30+ all day yesterday, with heavy rain all day. We had Villomee trucking along at 8-9 knots but it all got too much so reduced sail and slowed the boat right down making it a lot more comfortable. The seas built and got very messy but the skies cleared towards evening and the wind and sea state dropped a bit making it a lot more comfortable. Both have had good sleeps last night. Hopefully today will be a better day. ETA around midday Friday. Yahoo...... Saw our first NZ sea birds yesterday morning. A juvenile gannet and sooty shear waters.
