[status] The winds shut down to 4-8 knots dead downwind Sunday night and we were forced to motor all night. When the winds picked up to 10-15k from 191 T Monday morning, we tried sailing but ETA for Suva was 8PM. We didn't want to stand off all night so added a little power assist and got the anchor down in Suva harbor just before 5 - in time for a gorgeous sunset with pink and orange sun rays shooting up from behind the misty layers and layers of mountains on Viti Levu. Currently waiting "patiently" for officials to arrive for clearance.

[weather] Wind 10k 193T. Sunny, 10% cloud. Bar 1016. Not a drop of rain since arrival in Suva where it "is always rainy" so the salt remains on the boat for now as we won't be making water in Suva harbor!

The cabin of a small yacht is truly a wonderful thing; not only will it shelter you from a tempest, but from the other troubles in life, it is a safe retreat.
