Acrux is a 39ft Cavalier, built in 1975 in Auckland, New Zealand of Bob Salthouse design. She competed in the Sydney to Hobart yacht race in 1978 and in her younger years has done many other offshore races and passages. More recently, owners Kat and Seiorse have taken her out of retirement and are currently in Vanuatu and looking to head to Australia shortly for 6 months during the cyclone season.
