Arrived Great Barrier on Saturday. Had a good sail across from Tutukaka. Stayed at Nagle Cove for two nights and moved to Smokehouse Bay today.

Spent last night here after upwind sail from Whangamumu yesterday. Just been for a walk out on the peninsular and about to head off to Tutukaka. more going to windward unfortunately.

Weather SSE 10, clear skies Still anchored at Oke Bay. Were going to leave today but a group of 6 dolphins seem to have adopted us so we could not tear ourselves away. Did go down to Whapukapirau

Have moved back to our mooring near Dougs Boatyard in the Opua basin. Sonya back working at Burnsco and Daryl instructing again at Great Escape Yacht Charters.

Safely arrived Opua. Relieved to be in before the south westerlies and without running out of diesel. Finally got great sailing conditions last night.
