chameleon is a moody 47 built in southhampton in 1986. she was purchased in spain in 2001 by her current owners, david sapiane and patricia dallas. After addressing some safety needs, like a new engine, rigging, steering cables, sails and enjoying the med, we sailed her back to nz via the caribbean and have been in the south pacific ever since. Actually not quite as one year we left nz for bora bora and then went from there to the marshall islands via penhryn and canton. We  had one winter on land in 2012 and established gulf harbour radio which was very quiet in 2013 as we headed off to new caledonia for the season!  Gulf Harbour Radio became a permanent seasonal effort  May1, 2014. We finish at the end of November each year to enjoy the Hauraki Gulf area for the NZ summer.
