Heihei
FollowHeihei is ketch-rigged and based on a Roberts "Centennial Spray 38" design. Of cold-moulded construction (kauri and kahikatea), with sapele frames and silky-oak beams, she was built in Matakana New Zealand by Dave Blair boats in conjunction with her owners (Rob and Nina). We officially launched her in mid-winter 2005, but it took us until mid 2012 to be finished enough (we think!) to go offshore. In our first season, just to take it easy, we cruised up to Tonga (spending a few months in Vava'u), thence to Fiji, New Caledonia and Australia for the summer.
