LOCHMARIN
FollowLochmarin is a 17m Aluminium Centreboard Ketch with a long history of bluewater cruising. Her current owners, Phil and Sara are on a slow circumnavigation having left from England in 2012. We are at Pangaimotu, Nuku'alofa and expect to depart for Opua during the coming week.

Land Ho! 30 miles from Coffs Harbour. Great run in decent winds overnight,with current to help us.

Starting to get some wind again. A Pygmy Beaked Whale came across our bow, breaching 5 or 6 times in a row, amazing sight! All well.

Motor sailing (well, mostly motoring) in a glassy sea. The flying fish are flying for ridiculous distances with no waves to crash into. Looking forward to the wind returning. All well.

Two red footed boobies stayed on board overnight and we caught a skipjack tuna this morning - all well!

Finally escaped Port Vila, good to be on our way, having a pleasant sail!
Went to check out on Friday but Customs was closed due to power cut. No one there yesterday or today so hoping to check out and sail direct to Coffs Harbour tomorrow.
Plan's changed: leaving Port Vila this weekend for New Caledonia and on to Australia, Coffs Harbour.
