Meikyo is a Norseman 447. Designed by Bob Perry and built in 1985, she is a very capable offshore cruiser. Mike and Liliane, from Canada, are six years into their circumnavigation. Meikyo is a Japanese word that translates to "clear mirror", or more philosophically "mirror of the soul". Liliane is a Canadian Registered Massage Therapist. Mike is a retired beer company guy.

Anchored at Iluka on the Clarence River after two night passage from Mooloolaba. Difficult to slow the boat down to time Bar crossing, as we were doing over 4 kts under bare poles with the current!
