Tehani-li
FollowTehani-li is a Tayana 52 built in 1988. Her current owners, Phil and Karel, have purchased her in Barcelona 10 years ago. Since she has proved a comfortable home and a fast passage maker. We are currently getting ready to cross the Indian towards South Africa.
Recent Updates
Changed the spinnaker for the main sail early this morning as winds were picking up! Sailing along at 6.5 to 8 knots depending on the whim of the wind which is slightly inconsistent. All well!
Celebrated half way point an hour or so ago. Sailing nicely under a beautiful sky with spinnaker and poled genoa.
Fortunately the winds picked up yesterday evening and all day today. They are starting to calm down and the residual swell is making us rock'n'roll!! We are almost at half way. Wooohooo!
Sailing very, very slowly (4.5knots) as winds seemed to have vanished. Otherwise, beautiful sunny days with still a few squalls about
Sailing with Headsail and spinnaker, about 6 knots. It's slow going but pleasant!
Sailing along slowly with spinnaker and poled headsail. Fingers crossed the squalls have gone for the next day or so!
Haven't touched the sail configuration for over 24 hours. Squalls which have been present since our departure seem to have dissipated. Sailing in bumpy seas at 7knots
Sailing with main and genoa poled out. speeds of 5.5 to 7.0 knots depending on the wind swings and squalls.

Left St-Helena this morning, have been working on sail configuration non-stop as winds extremely variable!
Welcome to St-Helena! Arrived in darkness, anchored and early this morning picked up a mooring! Will be here a few days or more!
Sailing along and rolling as winds have lightened. The good news is that we only have 82nm to go, making it a night time arrival!
Crossed the line last night, in good cheer! Now back in the Western Hemisphere. Sailing with reefed main and reefed headsail poled out. Sea are boisterous but manageable. Only 238nm to go!!
