Tusi 2 is a 12m Alan Wright design built in Auckland in three skin kauri glassed over and launched about 1987. We, Mike and Helen Timperley, bought the boat, at that time named "Kings Row", in December 2011 and immediately set about finding a new name for her. The grandkids' choice was "Tusi 2" derived from the name of our previous boat of 20 years "Tusitala" a kauri Pacific 38. Tusi 2 is very similar in design to Alan Wright's "Oceans 12" of which six were built in fibreglass by Lotus Yachts. Tusi 2 was extensively refitted in 2012 to bring her up to offshore and islands cruising capability and our first cruise in her was to Fiji in 2013.
