Has anyone had recent experience trying to bring food in through Vanuatu airport customs? I am hoping to take vacuum-sealed cheddar from NZ to friends cruising in Vanuatu but can't get a clear answer whether that would be allowed. Grateful for any advice.

Customs food restrictions
Turns out you can bring in cheese, but you'll pay for it if you declare it. 3,000 vatu flat import fee for anything up to 5kgs. So to make it worth it, make sure you use your whole allowance - once out of Vila you will struggle to find such treats.
