w: Lovely and calm, but with a wind event coming tomorrow

Nothing quite so exciting as the micro burst has occurred over the past few days. We've luxuriated in warm sunny days, dry nights (for the most part) and low to modest breezes pushing us along around the SE tip of Sicily and past Malta. Now on the last long leg of this passage, our next turn will be at the southern tip of Corfu at noon on Monday if we can manage our speed per the plan..

[status] Just approaching Vanua Balavu Pass in the Lau Group. Sailing, poled out. Winds lightened since yesterday. May have ended up in a trough for a few hours yesterday: winds 25-30 knots with rain from about 0730 to miday (NZ standard time). Should be able to time our entry to Savu Savu for daylight hours tomorrow if we keep the boat speed down.
