[s] Now tied up in Marsden Cove Marina - an uneventful motor sail down the Northland coast saw us arriving at the Q dock at 12 noon. Customs and MPI very friendly and efficiently dealt with us in about 20 minutes - then a quick trip to the fuel dock before the final leg to GH - or so we thought....
Just 5m from the dock there was smoke pouring out of the boat - we drifted in with fire extinguishers at the ready - very calm and collected under pressure this wonderful crew.

[status]At Ilot Moro snorkeled the outside of reef coral ok no crown of thorns a fist for us in New Cal and lots of big fish great if you were a spear fisher we are to scared of sharks for that. Jan found a sea snake much to her surprise under my cap under the dodger now living in fear that one will end up in our bunk she should be more worried about the one eyed trouser snake!!!

Tonight we're at a nice anchorage at Escape River. Well, it's good holding, v calm, and the scenery (red bauxite rocks, mangroves and the whitest silica dunes beyond) is lovely.... At least to me!
