The wind is slowly starting to play ball, but it has added another day to our passage. We?re also pushing some tide at the moment. But, at least we are finally heading in almost the right direction. [status]Making good ground with continuing winds of SE 19-21kn. A couple of leaks to sort out, but otherwise a great days sailing. We are both a bit tired, but the first day is always the worst. Looking forward to another good nights sail.

[status] afterward 4 nights at sea we were looking forward to seeing landfall at dawn- however just before dawn we had a big rain cell which pummelled us with rain and the wind dropped so we had to motor 28 mikes before the wind came up enough to enable us to sail the last bit.. On approaching Suwarrow it definitely started bringing back memories of 2010 especially as it was a similar time we got here.

[status] We've moved! Around the island (Nuku Hiva) to Anaho bay, at the east end of the north coast. No town here, no cellular, no wifi. There is a church camp for Marquesan youth, and a vegetable farm. Very steep, very tall mountains around. Land access is by a dirt road. But the water is clear, it's a good, and safe, place to snorkel and dive. Well sheltered, very serene. A few goats visible, far up on the mountain sides. Two other boats here, one has friends we know already, on it.
