[status] another day rolls by, pretty much the same as the previous few, we're still fairly hard on wind sailing between 50-60 AWA. Similar to Pzazz we reef the headsail at dusk as wind speed increases, but have been sailing with a double reefed main for the last 40hrs, still a very large swell and generally confused sea, but wind direction and strength is a little more stable today.

[status] it seems each night is a repeat of the one before - starting at around 4 pm the wind lifts to 25-30 on and off for about 6 hours making a bouncy night then wind moderates during early hours but we continue with deep reef just in case there are more squalls to come which results in 24 hr mileage?s being modest at around 160 .

[status] We had a great visit to Mt Yasgur volcano yesterday evening. Yasgur was booming. Watching and feeling the explosions of lava from a couple of hundred meters away is a spectacle not to be forgotten! Then a wonderful meal prepared by Leah back at the Port Resolution village finished off a fine night. We are planning to walk around to the steam vent beside the anchorage today. Tomorrow to sail to Dillon?s Bay on Erromango island.
