[status] We arrive in Opua yesterday afternoon at 4.30pm, just in time to clear customs before they finished for the day. It was a very very good passage. It is hard to believe we're the last 5 months have gone. Can't wait to go and do it all again!

[status] Arrived Albany at 6pm WST last night. From Cape Leeuwin it was a comfortable fast ride on winds from astern: 20 to 30 knots, gusting to 40 with seas up to three metres. With only a scrap of jib out we surfed down one wave at over 16 knots. Saw a number of birds including albatross. Plan to stay in Albany for a few days while gales rage.

I am delighted to report that dugongs are not a myth! Despite this Bay being named Turtle Bay, we saw as many dugongs as we did turtles ... so there was great excitement aboard Felix! Having been looking for them unsuccessfully in Vanuatu and New Caledonia we had been beginning to believe that they fell into the mermaid category!
