Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails.

— Mark Twain

South of Cape Reinga now and very much in New Zealand waters. A night full of stars; our last night on passage most likely. Roast chicken dinner tonight.
Today we have had albatross, dolphins, massive rain squalls, cold fronts, warm fronts, torrential rain and brilliant sunshine. Brilliant, graceful sailing and nasty 180 degree wind changes causing chaos. 4 seasons in one day. Yes, we are back in NZ now.
We also have another kiwi yacht 2 miles astern; Yinka, racing us back into port.

[status] Sunday evening, night 6. Still chipping away at the miles, with lighter wind today. Was sunny, and almost warm.

Great sailing with Spinnaker up all day, until after dinner when the wind swung right behind us, and dropped to 10kn - not our favorite or most efficient wind angle, so back on with starboard engine.

Spinnaker lashed to the deck and ready to go back up. Wind forcast to increase around midnight, early AM.

[status] Left Luganville, Vanuatu, bound for Australia via Chesterfield Reef. Been working to slow Bravo down to allow arrival in daylight in 2 more days. Now down to #2 reef in main, reefed staysail, still too fast, will likely heave to tomorrow night. A fast, though rolly sail so far! All well aboard
