[status] We're safely in the pass, but couldn't get to Noumea due to headwinds and strong tides.

We'll continue tomorrow morning. We're looking forward to a full night's sleep after 5 nights at sea doing 2 hours on, 2 hours off.

[status] A real beautiful island, proper "casterway island" feel. There was a village person living there alone for his last 20 years in a great hut with food and cooking shelter. He died recently and everything remains exactly as he left it on the last day of his life. He did some great planting and with four sand beaches and a hidden garden this is as close to paradise as land can get.
