The cabin of a small yacht is truly a wonderful thing; not only will it shelter you from a tempest, but from the other troubles in life, it is a safe retreat.

[status] Northerlies dropped away to nothing overnight, so still just motoring on a glassy rolly sea. Absolutely Lovely today, refitted the ventilators as the cabin temp got up over 30*C, I saw a whale blow on the horizon this morning, Myriam was totally bummed not to see it, I told her it was because she was vegetarian. All is good.

The place is stunning, a massive milky turquoise lagoon, many white sandy beaches, with hundreds of limestone rock islets, all featuring their very own bonsai garden hairdo.

[status] blistering night wind changed to wsw and we hit 10.6 knots top speed and averaged around 9 for several hours. Which we thought was pretty good until we realised Team New Zealand would have passed us at 30knots !!!
Different story this morning average speed at present 6knots . Minerva north for Sunday at this stage. All well on board and we have a companion off the port side. Egg in the hole for breakfast.... yum.

[status]Anchored in between the reefs surrounding cute little plum-pudding Mato island. This island is unique as the sea snakes slither ashore to shed their skins and lay their eggs. We had one sharing the rock we were sitting on right up at the top for sunset drinks last night. We've been snorkeling a few times, looking for crayfish, but no luck so far.
