[status] On passage, Cabo Verde towards Europe.
Light winds last night made for slow progress. We seemed to be glued to the island of Santo Antao. However, with a little help from the volvo we got clear and the wind started to increase. It has been pleasant sailing in a light breeze most of the day but now increasing to 20+ knots and the waves building too. It would appear that this will be the story for a few days so we need to get used to living on a slope with lots of banging and crashing.

[status] We are still waiting for some packages to arrive. The weather is still very good for the anchorage, with the water very flat. We are in the lee of a SE wind, so we 'may' just be here next week as well. Tomorrow a friend will be here from Brisbane, so we have drinks scheduled Saturday night at the yacht club. They kids have been having a great time playing ashore with their new friends as well...so not much incentive to move just yet....

[s]Underway from Honolulu, Hawaii to San Francisco, California. 100% cloud cover, 1024 mb rising. During the day yesterday we had smooth seas and good sailing.
Passed through a cold front yesterday evening with strong winds and steep waves. We had to slow the boat down to care for the boat and ourselves.
All is well.
