Wind speed is down a lot from low 20s to abut 12kn now. We have switched to wing on wing reacher rig with 2dn reef main on port reacher on starboard. Very effective - eliminates blanketing reacher by mainsail footprint. This has elimnated the crash-bang noise If we have no more winds in the mid-teens to twenties then will miss our 3pm Friday slot at Marion Narrows.

Good in W quadrant winds but exposed to wind and swell from NE when it can get very rolly - setting a stern line makes things a lot more comfortable.
