Fluent is back in the Northern Hemisphere. Taking a short tactical pause to allow for a daylight entry to Tarawa. Nice day of sailing despite ever decreasing winds and increasing current against us. Found out that our bigger fishing lure (we always drag a big and a small lure on passage to cover our bets) had its two big hooks stripped off of it at some point. They were substantial hooks so it would have been a big fish.

[status]We sailed out of Opua Marina this morning and are now anchored off a small island in the Bay of Islands. Once settled Lionel casually cast a soft bait off the back step and I kid you not, within 3, no make that 2 seconds flat we had dinner on the line. A decent size snapper which we will bbq for dinner. yum YUM!! This island has had a fairly intensive revegetation program and consequently the bird song as we sit here is lovely.
