[status]Pos at 0600 NZDT. 45NM to go to Opua, Great run last night with a tuck in the mizzen and the staysail up. Thanks GHR and YIT for the service that you provide.Nice work. And good to hear the radio operators at Maritime Radio saying "Welcome to New Zealand" to arriving yachties when they are giving notice of arrival. Good look for the frontline people. #proud to be a kiwi :)

[status] As of 2016-11-14 16:49 UTC: We left Port Vila early Monday morning and are slowly making our way SE. We had quite a variety of conditions as we left Port Vila but things settled down once we got away from the island. We're planning to head for a waypoint to the SE above 22 S where we'll hang out until about Saturday before continuing on to NZ. We're expecting headwinds and big seas later in the week so we'll heave to in a few days to let that go through. Conditions are beautiful [END]

w: Baro 1009. Hard to tell the gradient wind due to frequent squalls. Approx TWS is 15 kts TWD 110M. Wind varying from 8 to 25 kts in and around squalls. Scattered Cu/TCu/Cb. Electrical storms and heavy rain in squalls
d: 15/11/16 05:56 GMT+1300
Good progress during the day reaching at speeds in the 7's and low 8's. Now slower progress with adverse tide and frequent squalls. Caught and returned a 50+ barracuda. Was rather hoping it was a tuna instead.
