Beautiful and healthy coral with the reef dropping off steeply. Occasional small gorgonian coral fans. Anchor your dinghy just south of the reef pass into Mana lagoon and then snorkel along the southern wall. Looks like it would be a good dive too.

Huge schools of sergeant fish congregate here as they are regularly fed by the locals. Snorkelling among them is an incredible experience. The site slopes away from the beach and then quickly drops off. Snorkelling around the drop off you can see many other fish, including schools of yellow-stripe goatfish, fusiliers, unicornfish and many more. Reef needle fish cruise back and forth near the
surface.

Manta rays feed in the pass swimming up and down for hours. The best time to go is a couple of hours before high tide. There is a bit of a current but not so strong that you can't swim against it fairly easily. Better still, just stay in the one spot and let the rays glide past. Avoid damage to coral by having someone stay with the dinghy. There is also a lovely big gorgonian coral fan in the pass and usually a cloud of fusiliers and other fish life hanging off the western end of the pass.
